CHOICES THAT MATTER is a captivating collection of epic text adventure games, reminiscent of the classic Choose Your Own Adventure books (CYOA). The game is designed in such a way that no single playthrough will reveal the entire story. With each story arc conclusion, you can see how many other players have visited the same places as you.

OUR STORIES

ADVENTURE 1: And The Sun Went Out

This adventure is a remarkable journey comprising approximately 600,000 words and 2,400 choices! Set in a world where the sun unpredictably disappears only to reappear hours later, you join forces with an AI companion named Moti to investigate this phenomenon. Along the way, you uncover conspiracies, delve into ancient religions, and traverse the globe. Your mission is to unravel the mystery behind the murders of scientists and their connection to the strange solar disappearances. The truth can only be exposed through your wise choices.

ADVENTURE 2: And Their Souls Were Eaten

In this adventure, you possess a unique gift that enables you to keep the souls of the departed connected to the living world. But what if your gift has a darker side? What if there are individuals who seek to abuse your talent, disrupting the balance between life and death? Immerse yourself in a steampunk version of 1830s Europe, where metal holds mystical powers for its wearers. Embark on a journey to discover more about your ancient gift and its significance for you, your family, and humanity. Uncover a malicious plot to obliterate all life, and race against time to prevent your enemy from destroying everything dear to you.

ADVENTURE 3: And Their Heroes Were Lost

You awaken in a grimy prison cell with no recollection of your identity. However, you quickly realize that you are not alone. Who are your fellow prisoners, and what roles do they play in your story? Are they your allies or adversaries? Will you manage to escape and uncover the truth about your past? Why did the captors choose to steal your memories instead of terminating you? Travel across the world as you unearth the secrets of your enigmatic history and face a future on the brink of catastrophe.

According to PocketTactics.com, "What's really innovative about Choices...unlike traditional gamebooks that have a definite end, Choices: And The Sun Went Out is a continuing gamebook that will be updated weekly, allowing you to progress through the story over time. As you make choices in your story, it will advance in ways completely differently than other readers when weekly content is added."
